PM Modi, Ram Nath Kovind attend President Murmu's Independence Day 'at home' reception

President Droupadi Murmu hosted the Independence Day reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Vice President and Prime Minister Modi were among the distinguished guests present. The event began with patriotic renditions and honored national heroes. India celebrated its Independence Day after gaining freedom from British rule. The day also marked a historic first rendition of Vande Mataram at Red Fort.
