Monkeys turn residents in Noida society into cages, authorities debate jurisdiction

Residents of Gulshan Botania in Noidas Sector 144 say rhesus macaques have repeatedly entered homes, damaged belongings and raided kitchens, forcing them to keep windows and balcony doors secured. Despite repeated complaints to multiple authorities and attempts to hire private monkey catchers, residents say the problem persists. Uncertainty over which authority is responsible has further complicated efforts to find a lasting solution.
