Kerala rains persist: Several districts remain inundated

Rains persist across Kerala, prolonging waterlogging and inundation in many districts. Moderate rainfall is forecast for isolated places in seven northern and southern districts. An orange alert has been issued for several districts, indicating very heavy rainfall is expected. Holidays were declared for educational institutions in eight districts as a precautionary measure.
