Iran has rejected Oman's proposal for joint management of the Strait of Hormuz. A senior Iranian official stated the plan has no chance of success. The official added that the US and Saudi Arabia are pressuring Oman. They are trying to advance their unrealistic plans for the strategic waterway. Tehran believes these plans are not feasible for regional cooperation.
