A UK nuclear waste site has installed composite railway sleepers made from recycled plastic. These durable sleepers offer a sustainable alternative to traditional hardwood materials. Work is also progressing on the Southern Trench Interim Membrane project at the Repository. This project involves placing a new protective layer over historic trenches.
