In 2016, a stray dog ran 77 miles beside an ultramarathoner in the Gobi Desert, then crossed continents to become part of his family

During the Gobi March race, an extraordinary stray dog named Gobi unexpectedly joined ultramarathoner Dion Leonard. Over an exhausting seventy-seven miles in the harsh desert terrain, Gobi showed incredible loyalty, mimicking the bonds typically found between human infants and parents.
