INCOIS issues swell surge warning along Kerala, south TN coast

INCOIS issued a swell surge warning for Kerala and nearby regions. High period swells from the southern Indian Ocean will impact coastal areas. Inundation of low-lying coastal areas may occur from August 19. Fishermen and coastal populations are cautioned to be alert for surging waves. Tourist activities at beaches and nearshore regions are suspended.
