Government invites online applications from August 17-31 to get recognised as GATCs

Industries can apply to become Government Approved Test Centres online until August 31, 2026. This initiative aims to expand India's verification ecosystem for weights and measures. Recognized centres will verify 23 categories of weighing and measuring instruments across various sectors. The expanded network will complement state departments and improve service delivery. This reflects the government's commitment to ease of doing business and consumer protection.
