General Motors CEO Mary Barra plans to attend a state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping this Thursday. US automakers, including GM, are expressing concerns about allowing Chinese manufacturers access to the market. Reports suggest Barra will attend alone, as Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa is out of the country. Ford has not confirmed if CEO Jim Farley will join the dinner.
