Eli Lillys Foundayo becomes first oral weight-loss drug approved in UK for diabetes

Britain's regulator approved Eli Lilly's Foundayo pill for weight and diabetes. This treatment is not yet available through the NHS in the UK. Foundayo will launch privately later this month via prescription. Novo Nordisk's Wegovy pill also received approval for the UK market. The weight-loss drug market is seeing increased competition from oral treatments.
