China factory growth slows to 4-month low in July, survey shows

China's manufacturing sector expanded at its slowest pace in four months during July. Output and new orders rose more slowly, while export orders returned to growth. Firms added staff at the fastest pace since August 2023, and purchase stocks increased. Input price inflation slowed to a six-month low, and output prices remained flat. Leaders pledged fiscal spending to support the slowing economy for the remainder of the year.
