SAT allows Zee, Goenka to proceed with warrant issue

The Securities Appellate Tribunal has granted Zee Entertainment and Punit Goenka the go-ahead for a convertible warrants issuance. However, this approval is contingent on the appellants depositing the entire penalty imposed by Sebi. The tribunal highlighted the strong approval from public shareholders for the investment proposal, indicating that this warrants issue could substantially benefit them. Additionally, the deadline for issuing these warrants has been extended by a week.
