NASAs Sustainability Base was designed as a 50,000-square-foot office that used just 12% of conventional electricity and 10% of potable water. Using geothermal energy, solar power and advanced NASA technology, it aimed to generate 20% more energy than it consumed annually. The innovative building is located at the entrance to NASAs Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California.
