University of Bristol launches Mumbai campus, announces partnership with IIT-Bombay, industry

University of Bristol has launched its first international campus in Mumbai, set to open in August 2026 near Powai Lake, opposite Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay. The move includes partnerships with Tata Consultancy Services and the British Council, plus a 1.5 million donation from Shanta Foundation. Offering programmes in data science, economics and immersive arts, the campus aims to strengthen India-UK research collaboration, AI innovation and student mobility.
