Facial symmetry is often considered one of the main signs of an attractive face, making small differences between the two sides something many people tend to notice. But a large study involving 1,550 faces from 10 different populations has challenged this familiar idea. Researchers found an unexpected pattern when they looked at several aspects of facial shape together, suggesting there may be more to attractiveness than simply having perfectly balanced features.
