Transport ministry proposes low-beam only rule for two-wheelers to cut glare from April 2028

New two-wheelers will have automatic headlamps set to low beam from April 2028. This change aims to reduce glare and improve road visibility for all drivers. The maximum light intensity for two-wheeler headlamps will also be reduced significantly. Similarly, car headlamp intensity limits are being lowered to enhance safety.
