Strait of Hormuz shipping slows sharply after tanker attacks

Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz slowed significantly over the weekend. This decline followed attacks on tankers and stalled United States-Iran conflict resolution talks. Commodity vessel transits dropped sharply, with very few ships registered for Sunday. Shipping appeared to grind to a near standstill after UAE reported tanker attacks last week. Iran stated Washington must meet its conditions for shipping to resume.
