Stop mis-selling, focus on core business: FM Nirmala Sitharaman to banks

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has instructed banks to halt the mis-selling of financial products such as insurance and to refocus on their primary role of taking deposits and extending credit. At the same time, the Commerce Ministry is reviewing how the latest US tariff revisions could affect Indias trade flows and broader economy.
