SpiceJets finances, operations under government watch as cash flow woes deepen

Indias aviation ministry is closely monitoring SpiceJets finances and operations amid persistent cash-flow stress, with Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu saying regulators are focused on ensuring safety is not compromised. The airline has received 1.5 billion under the governments ECLGS support scheme but continues to face pressure from weak finances, higher fuel costs and competition.
