Spectrum can't be transferred, sold by telcos: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has ruled that telecom spectrum, a scarce public resource, cannot be transferred or sold under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. This decision is a victory for the government and a setback for lenders to the defunct phone company Aircel. The court emphasized that spectrum's control and benefits must be secured for citizens.
