SC pushes FSSAI to put health over multinational interests, orders front-of-pack food labels

The Supreme Court has ordered the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to speed up the implementation of Front-of-Pack Warning Labels. These labels will clearly show sugar, salt, saturated fat, and calorie content on processed foods. The court emphasized that citizens' health is paramount.
