Rs 25 Parle biscuit packet was 25g less: Kerala man wins Rs 50,000; 150g pack weighed only 125g

A Kannur consumer commission has ordered Parle Biscuits and a local hypermarket to jointly pay Rs 50,000 in compensation and litigation costs to a Kerala man who bought a Rs 25 packet of Parle 20-20 Butter Cookies advertised as 150 grams, only to find it weighed just 125 grams. A government lab confirmed the shortfall.
