Rains ease peak power demand in September

Recent rainfall in India has led to a notable drop in peak power demand, decreasing from 224.7 GW to 218.8 GW before reaching 236.34 GW again. This decline has alleviated some strain on the energy grid. However, an alarming shortage of coal persists, with only eight to nine days' worth of fuel remaining in many plants. Currently, 80 out of 190 coal-based plants are under critical fuel stress.
