In an interview, psychologist Jonathan Haidt explained why children nowadays are more prone to struggling with mental health than ever. Their parents have mollycoddled them a lot, keeping them away from real-world experiences and forming real relationships with people, yet left them unsupervised in digital spaces, creating a toxic dependency between kids and social media validation. This has affected the mental health of a generation of kids.
