Petrol, diesel sales soar on weak monsoon rains, LPG demand shifts to piped gas

Petrol and diesel sales saw a significant increase in July. Below-normal monsoon rains boosted demand from farmers and motorists. Diesel sales, a key economic indicator, rose by 10.7 percent year-on-year. Jet fuel consumption also experienced a slight uptick during the month. However, LPG sales continued their downward trend, dropping 17.4 percent.
