L&T CMD bats for longer tenures for heads of public sector companies

S N Subrahmanyan emphasized the need for longer leadership tenures in public sector enterprises to enhance project execution. He suggested a tenure of five years should be instituted for better planning and implementation. This recommendation aligns with the government's increased focus on infrastructure investment, which is expected to reach Rs 12.2 lakh crore. Continued leadership changes are believed to hinder project timelines and quality outcomes.
