A Reddit user claims that changing his joining availability from Immediately to a two- or three-week notice period dramatically improved his job search results. After around 70 applications with immediate availability produced almost no responses, he says the change led to seven recruiter screening calls in two weeks. Other users shared similar experiences, while some suggested the outcome could depend on hiring practices, recruiters or how job application systems handle availability.
