Indias new plan for fastest bullet train: India is developing its own high-speed bullet trains, with the B35 planned to achieve a design speed of 350 kmph by 2030. The programme follows the B28, India's first indigenous high-speed train, which is expected to begin trials in 2027 with a design speed of 280 kmph and operating speed of 249 kmph. The B35 plan comes as India expands its high-speed rail ambitions beyond the 508-km Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor, with seven additional routes proposed.
