Indias external debt rises to $778.2 billion in June quarter: RBI

India's total external debt rose by USD 15.4 billion to reach USD 778.2 billion by June 2026. The external debt-to-GDP ratio showed a slight improvement, decreasing to 20.8 percent. Long-term obligations grew to USD 624.7 billion, while short-term debt slightly increased to 19.7 percent of overall external debt.
