India launches 16th round of commercial coal mine auctions, offering 25 blocks for investment

The Ministry of Coal launched its sixteenth commercial coal mine auction round. Twenty-five blocks across several states are now available for investor participation. Six previously auctioned mines have awarded development and production agreements to winning bidders. These mines are projected to generate significant revenue and employment opportunities. India's coal output has seen a notable increase in recent fiscal years.
