Arnold Schwarzenegger launched an initiative in 1992 to give children from under-resourced communities a safe and structured place to spend time after school. What began with sports and fitness activities eventually grew into After-School All-Stars, expanding into academic support, career preparation, STEM, health and other programmes. More than three decades later, the organisation serves around 140,000 students each year.
