ITAT rejects tax departments FTS, royalty claims on Spencer Stuarts executive search fees

The income-tax tribunal ruled in favor of Spencer Stuart International BV. Executive search fees were not treated as technical services under the tax treaty. The tribunal deleted a tax addition related to expense reimbursements. A separate dispute concerning management fees was sent back for fresh examination.
