Bengaluru CA Meenal Goel had her first money fight with her husband after 2.5 years of marriage when he wanted to invest Rs 5 lakh while she preferred renovating their home. The disagreement revealed they had never discussed financial priorities. They spent three hours creating a Family Financial Blueprint covering goals, spending, investments, responsibilities, emergency funds and personal priorities. Goel says the biggest mistake couples make is assuming they think alike about money.
