HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan to retire in October, will not seek reappointment

HDFC Bank's Chief Executive Sashidhar Jagdishan will retire in October. He has decided not to seek reappointment when his current term ends. The bank's board accepted his decision after persuasion efforts failed. Mr. Jagdishan will step down from his services on October 26, 2026.
