Govt to hire EIL for third-party quality checks on 5,000 km of highways and expressways

Engineers India Ltd will inspect 5,000 km of highways for quality. This agency will examine construction quality from start to completion. The move follows Prime Minister's Office directives for independent audits. EIL previously conducted quality checks for major highway projects. This initiative aims to address concerns over road project deficiencies.
