Govt says youth unemployment rate declined to 9.9% in 2025 from 10.9% in 2022

India's youth unemployment rate fell to 9.9 percent in 2025 from 10.9 percent in 2022. The worker population ratio for young people increased to 41.4 percent during the same period. Various government schemes are actively promoting employment generation and improving employability. Over 12.5 lakh recruitment letters were issued through Rozgar Melas since October 2022. MSMEs and PLI schemes are significantly contributing to job creation across the nation.
