Govt aims to raise weavers annual income to Rs 6 lakh, launches handloom tech centre

The government aspires for weavers to achieve an annual income of no less than six lakh rupees. Aiming to spearhead innovation, IIT Delhi is launching a Centre of Excellence focused on research and skill development. Alongside this, five new initiatives are unveiled to promote digital transformation and support startups, thereby enhancing living standards throughout the handloom value chain.
