Dont throw away tea or coffee-stained dress: How to use common salt to remove stains at home

Tea and coffee stains can ruin your favourite dress or T-shirt, but common salt may help tackle fresh spills. Blot the stain, rinse with cool water, sprinkle salt over the damp area and gently work it in before washing according to the care label. Salt may also absorb some liquid from fresh red-wine spills on washable dresses and rugs. Results vary, so test delicate fabrics first.
