Currency hedging to add 6-8% to green project financing costs: CII-IIMA report

Currency hedging could increase Indias green project financing costs by 68% annually, potentially deterring global institutional investors, according to a CII-IIM Ahmedabad taskforce. The currency mismatch between rupee revenues and foreign-currency funding raises risks for clean-energy projects.
