Civil Aviation Minister welcomes Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman to civil aviation

Group Captain Abhinandan (Retd) has transitioned to civil aviation after his IAF career. He is credited with downing a Pakistani F-16 during the Balakot operations. The fighter pilot will now serve as a commercial pilot with a private airline. His bravery in 2019 earned him the Vir Chakra gallantry medal.
