A Chennai couple was laid off after building a Rs 1.7 crore financial corpus and paying off their home. According to Gurgaon-based financial content creator Amit Arora, they spend around Rs 9 lakh annually and are considering living partly on investment income. Their plan is to use 35-40% of interest income and reinvest the rest. However, inflation remains a major concern as they assess whether their corpus can support them for 30-40 years.
