COEP Tech, JSW to invest over Rs 800 crore in battery R&D centre in Pune

COEP Technological University and JSW Projects will invest over Rs 800 crore to establish an Advanced Battery Research and Development Centre at COEP Tech's Chikhali Research Park in Pune. The two-phase facility will develop and validate indigenous lithium-ion, sodium-ion and other advanced-chemistry cells, potentially creating more than 1,000 battery ecosystem jobs.
