A historic Ohio jail built in 1847 has found a surprising second life as a family home. The former Wood County Jail, which once housed prisoners, was converted into a residence while retaining six original jail cells, heavy doors and other historic features. After decades under the same family, the unusual 2,960-square-foot property in Perrysburg has now sold for $400,000, offering its new owners a home steeped in local history.
