'Brazil an important, strategic partner to India; key member of BRICS,' MEA Secy (East) says

India and Brazil strengthened their strategic partnership during President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's state visit. Discussions covered bilateral, regional, and global issues, including cooperation in multilateral forums. Trade targets were revised upwards, aiming for $30 billion by 2030. Several MoUs were signed, focusing on areas like rare earth minerals and MSMEs.
