April-August fiscal gap widens to 7.1 lakh crore on higher capex, subsidy outgo

The Centres fiscal deficit rose to 7.1 lakh crore, or 41.9% of the FY27 target, by August, up from 6 lakh crore a year earlier, official data showed.
