Olly Stone Signs Two-year Contract Extension With Nottinghamshire

Olly Stone: England fast bowler Olly Stone has signed a contract extension with County Championship holders Nottinghamshire that will see him stay at Trent Bridge for two more years. This came two days after he powered his County side to a 145-run win over Surrey in three days with a match haul of 10 wickets. Stone, who has played five Tests for England, arrived at Trent Bridge ahead of the 2023 season. He has been a cornerstone in helping the Green and Golds consolidate their lead in the ongoing County Championship. He has scalped 26 wickets in Division One this season, making a strong return from his injury-hampered season last year. Speaking on the extension, Stone said that he loves the club. I love the club, I love the way everyone operates, and to call Trent Bridge home for two more years is very pleasing, Stone said in a statement released by the club. Kevin Shine, Paul Franks, and Peter Moores have been brilliant in helping me to keep getting better and keep developing, and Im looking forward to another two years with them. I feel this year, my performances out on the field have shown that Ive got better, and its great when you can deliver and win games for Nottinghamshire, he added.
