'RSS-driven exercise full of mischief': Congress slams rewriting of textbooks amid NCERT row

The Congress on Thursday backed the Supreme Courts strong reaction to references on judicial corruption in an NCERT Class 8 textbook, calling the courts anger justified. The party alleged that textbook revisions over the past decade were an RSS-driven exercise marked by mischief and malice. The apex court imposed a blanket ban on the book, ordered seizure of copies, and sought explanations from officials, while NCERT apologised and withdrew the text.
