Japans sleep contest offers $14,000 prize: Who can enter, how to apply, October 5 date and rules

Japan is organising a sleeping competition on October 5, 2026, and the winner will receive Rs 13 lakh prize money. During the 90-minute power-napping session, organisers will monitor sleep depth, overall quality, stability, and how long it takes participants to drift off. Organisers have also stated that there would be unexpected disturbances during the sleeping competition to check whether contestants can maintain their sleep or not.
