Difficult to define friends or enemies in today's world, India must act on its own: CDS Gen Chauhan

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan said shifting global dynamics make traditional ideas of permanent friends and adversaries unreliable, stressing that India must be prepared to act independently with strategic autonomy. He said partnerships are important but cannot replace indigenous capability and freedom of choice.
