AIIMS finds high accuracy in Karnatakas AI app that screens lung diseases via smartphone; Heres how it works

A Karnataka-based start-up has developed an AI-powered app, Shwaasa, that analyses cough sounds to screen for chronic lung diseases such as COPD and asthma. The tool has been validated by AIIMS and demonstrated high accuracy in testing. It could help bridge a significant diagnostic gap in Indias primary healthcare system, particularly in areas where spirometry is not available.
